Our client is a leading International FMCG retail company and their experienced and dynamic Buying Team is pivotal in supporting operations through sourcing products, range and promotional buying.
This role will include assortment planning, vendor negotiation, promotional planning, pricing, setting and achieving financial goals and maintaining sound commercial relationships.
You will be comfortable working in a very fast paced environment as a sophisticated negotiator and will go for win win solutions and sound long term supplier relationships. You will apply your creativity, technical product knowledge, negotiation skills and financial acumen to build ranges that meet category sales and margin requirements.
You will have a proven track record in preferably in FMCG (other product areas could also include discount variety and grocery) retailing with demonstrable success in achieving sales, gross margin, inventory turnover and space profitability goals. The ability to work and think under pressure is essential, coupled with sound computer skills and a motivated and proactive attitude. Future development and growth will be a feature of this position as the business continues to expand.
